U.S.A-." ahead of the rear sight block, "32 W.C.F." at the breech and "2" on the bottom flat ahead of the forearm. The serial number is marked on the lower tang. Blue barrel, casehardened remaining parts and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with an ebony forend insert and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The rifle retains 30% plus of the blue finish with the faded finish replaced by a brown patina. The frame and block retain 40% faded case colors with an otherwise gray patina. The buttplate, trigger guard, and lower tang have a gray patina with some oxidation. The wood is very good with some minor scratches and dings as well as a hairline crack on the lower right side of the forearm at the junction with the frame. Mechanically excellent with clear markings.
