Manufactured in 1962 (receiver). It is chambered in 284 Winchester, a caliber not cataloged for pre-64 Model 70s. The barrel is manufactured without sights and is marked with the Winchester legend on the left side. The Winchester factory style proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is tapped for scope/sight mounting. Polished bolt numbered to gun, hallow bolt knob, late safety, straight receiver tang and sling swivels. The high comb pistol grip stock features checkering and a checkered plastic buttplate.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored. The rifle retains nearly all of the blue finish showing a couple minor scratches on the floor plate. The stock is near mint showing the slightest handing marks. Mechanically excellent.
