Manufactured in 1955 (receiver). Hooded ramp front sight and first variety African Model adjustable rear sight on a barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side. Winchester factory style oval proof on the receiver and barrel and floor plate marked "-SUPER GRADE-". The letter "X" has been added to the serial number. Jewelled bolt, extractor and follower with bolt numbered to gun (includes the letter "X"), receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting, straight receiver tang and quick release sling swivels. The checkered high comb pistol grip stock features a cheekpiece, ebony forend tip, metal grip cap and solid Winchester recoil pad.

Very fine as refurbished/restored. The rifle retains nearly all of the blue finish with a few light handling marks. The stock is near mint showing very limited light handling marks with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
