Manufactured from 1858-59 with only an estimated 1,000 manufactured. Top barrel flat has the two line Beals patent dates/Remington address marking. Matching serial numbers. The frame has floral scroll engraving and the cylinder is floral etched. Disk pawl on the left side of the frame, 5-shot cylinder and square butt. The barrel is numbered to the gun.

Good. The revolver retains traces of original blue finish in protected areas with a mottled gray patina on the balance. There is some minor pitting on the barrel. The grips are poor period replacements. Each panel has been broken and repaired, moderate wear, and minor chips along the bottom edges. The action does not function. The markings are clear.
