Manufactured in 1963 with a dovetailed bead front sight and adjustable sporting rear sight with "-WINCHESTER-/-TRADEMARK-/-MADE IN THE U.S.A.-" and "-MODEL 61-/ 22 WIN. MAG. R.F." on the left side near the breech. The top of the barrel and receiver at the breech are marked with the Winchester oval proof mark. The matching serial number is stamped on the underside of the frame and on the trigger guard plate. It has a serrated trigger and safety and is mounted with a 17 groove flat bottom forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered plastic buttplate. It includes the original factory box with shipping marks including a stamp marked "New Haven/Sep 20, 63" (inside a shipping box) with page from the New Haven Journal from September 19, 1963 and other papers inside.

Near new. The rifle retains 99% plus of the finish with only faint slide wear and some overall light handling/storage marks. The wood has only minor handling/storage marks with a smooth high gloss. Mechanically excellent with crisp markings. The box has some staining and edge wear and the serial number is faded.
