Manufactured in 1940 and subsequently custom upgraded to current specification many years later. Blade and elevation adjustable sights on a barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side and two line address on the right. The left side of the receiver is marked "WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK" (a gallery rifle marking) and the upper tang is marked with the three line trade mark information. A Winchester factory oval proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver. Nickel plated frame, bolt, hammer and trigger with blue finished barrel, magazine (standard loading port) and buttplate. Smooth straight grip stock and 10 groove forearm.

Very fine as professionally refinished/restored. The rifle retains nearly all of the blue and nickel finishes showing the slightest handling marks. The wood is near mint with a minor pressure dent on the stock wrist. Mechanically excellent.
