Description:

This combination 16 gauge shotgun and rifle features a German silver blade front sight, and a notch rear sight mounted about halfway down the barrel. The solid rib is marked "Christoph Funk in Suhl" with gold fill and has a "crown/V" proof at the breech. The drilling features fine scroll engraving with a deer on the right side plate and a boar on the left side plate. An elk is present on the trigger guard. It has double triggers and finely engraved hammers (left hammer is a smaller more plain replacement). It is fitted with checkered pistol grip stock with cheek rest and forearm with contrasting grip knob and break lever. Sling swivels are mounted to the bottom of the barrel and the butt. The length of pull is 13 1/2 for the rifle barrel and 12 1/2 for the shotgun. The shotgun barrel is chambered for 2 1/2 inch shells, and the barrel is cylinder choked. The serial number is marked on the buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The drilling has a some faded blue finish on the barrel with an otherwise brown patina. The remaining engraved components have a dark gray or brown patina. The wood is good with some pieces missing on the upper edges of the forearm, various minor dings and scratches, and a section absent behind the left hammer. The markings are clear. The break lever is somewhat stiff, and the triggers/action are fine.
