This is an excellent example of an all original, pre-war Walther model PPK "Party Leader" pistol with the highly desirable and rare Political Leader Party grips. These PPKs when fitted with the ultra rare Nazi Party leader grips were officially known as the "Honor Weapon of the Political Leaders", as they were only presented to high ranking Nazi officers of the NSDAP for meritorious service to the Nazi Party. The grips themselves are a one-piece wraparound grip consisting of a mottled-brown plastic material that has the distinctive large Nazi Eagle clutching a Swastika encircled by a wreath at the top on both sides. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther Banner followed by the factory legend and caliber in two lines and the designation "Mod. PPK.". The pistol itself is a pre-war commercial model with the "Crown/N" proofmarks, stamped on the right side of the slide below the ejection port and on the right side of the barrel at the muzzle and in the chamber area. The pistol falls right into a known serial number range (217000K-220000K) for these pistols. Refer to page 259 in the Jan Still book "Axis Pistols". The pistol has a 60 degree safety lever, cartridge indicator pin and lanyard loop on the bottom of the frame. The serial number (218275K) is marked vertically on the right side of the frame behind the trigger with the last three digits (275) correctly scratched inside the slide. It is complete with one all blued, Walther marked magazine with the brown plastic finger extension. This very scarce pistol is accompanied by an equally rare if not rarer original "RZM" marked "Party Leader" type Walther PPK leather holster. This holster has the medium brown color, which has the very seldom seen inside of the flap stamped with the rare circled "RZM" logo over "L4/1304/37". Refer to the book; "Walther Pistols Vol. III by James Rankin, pg. 213, for a similar example of RZM marking. Research reveals the "L4" is for saddle and harness makers; "1304" is the code for the Sattler Firm of Anton Scheiner, Munich and "37" for the year of manufacture. In addition to this outstanding prewar Walther PPK Pistol rig it also includes a pair of original WWII Political Leader's high rank collar tabs for the Orts Level or local level of the Political Organization.

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear with clear sharp markings and proofs. The Party Leader grips are also in excellent condition with both sides showing a very nice raised Nazi Party Leader Eagle/Swastika and impressed checkering with only very minor handling marks/scratches at the top of the right grip. The lower front portion of the grips do show some slight warpage which is very common on these early grips. The holster is excellent with beautiful color with only some very minor handling marks on the top flap with beautiful, clear sharp markings on the inside with all intact stitching. The holster is stiff, but still pliable and was probably only worn a couple of times as even the belt loop shows only minor wear. The collar tabs are also in excellent condition with nice original pips and Nazi eagles with the cloth material and blue borders intact showing only a hint of fraying of the material on the corners. A beautiful, all original and extremely rare Party Leader Walther PPK with RZM marked holster and collar tabs.
