Description:

Made of fine quality green wool, with a dark green wool band, bright rose colored wool piping, black leather chinstrap, stamped aluminum national emblem and wreath original to the cap, and a full celluloid sweat shield marked for a "Schutze Kohler H." of "8.Komp. S.R. 1", and a "57 1/2" size marking. The markings indicated Kohler was attached to the 1st Rifle Regiment in the 1st Panzer Company. The 1st Panzer Regiment fought in all major campaigns including the Invasion of France in 1940 and ultimately surrendered in May of 1945 in Austria.

Rating Definition:

Near excellent with only a few small moth nips and light handling marks overall. Complete and fully intact.
