Description:

Manufactured in 1943 with fixed sights. The left side of the slide is marked with the intertwined "USS" company logo and "U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A.". LTC Robert Downie's "RCD" proof is on the left side of the frame with a checkered thin hammer, stamped trigger, checkered slide catch, thumb safety, includes arched mainspring housing, Keyes-Fiber grips, and a High Standard barrel. With an unmarked brown cardboard box and a steel bushing wrench.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 60% of the much faded original dulite finish showing bright wear along the edges, areas of brown patina, and scattered handling marks. Grips are very fine with a few mild dings. The reproduction box is very good. Mechanically excellent.
