This is an example of a World War II M1911A1 manufactured by Remington Rand, Inc. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line Remington Rand address with the "P" on top of the slide in front of the rear sight. The right side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" over the serial number and an "L" on the trigger guard. The left side of the frame has "FJA" inspector's markings stamped just below the slide stop notch with a "P" proofmark below the magazine release and a "1" on the trigger guard. This pistol has a grooved slide stop, checkered safety lock and narrow hammer with the checkered spur. The magazine is absent. The custom grips are smooth walnut.

Excellent overall with 97% of the arsenal parkerized finish with minor edge wear and some light handling marks. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. All markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
