Description:

All five daggers have double-edged blades, flat steel oval guards, standard profile grips and leather sheaths. 1) "ENGLAND" marked F-S dagger, 11 3/4 inches long, 6 3/4 inch blued blade, blued guard, ribbed brass grip marked "2" and steel-tipped sheath. 2) Unmarked F-S dagger, 11 3/8 inches long, 6 3/4 inch blued blade, blued guard, knurled brass grip with "E.F.KNOX" stamped onto a flat on the side, and a steel-tipped sheath. 3) R. Cooper F-S dagger, 11 1/2 inches long with a 6 7/8 inch bright blade with etched J. Himsworth address and SAS logo on the obverse, "2(broad arrow)" marked blue cross guard, a ribbed wood grip and a non-regulation black sheath. 4) Unmarked F-S dagger, 11 1/2 inches long, 6 5/8 inch blue blade, blue guard, knurled and darkened brass hilt, and a non-regulation brown sheath. 5) "ENGLAND" F-S dagger, 11 3/4 inches long with a full nickel finish, 6 3/4 inch blade, "(arrow)B2" marked guard, knurled brass guard and non-regulation brown leather sheath.

Rating Definition:

1) Very good, with strong blue, mild edge wear and light handling marks. The sheath is fair, with the mounting tabs removed, torn retention strap and heavy cracking. 2) Very good, with a well aged brass patina on the high points and a milled-out panel where the name is stamped and mild handling marks overall. Sheath is fair, with a torn retention strap. 3) Good, with some scuffs and spotting on the blade, bright edge wear on the guard, a few dings on the grip and a good sheath. 4) Very good, with light handling marks. Sheath is cracked and torn. 5) Fair as refinished, mild dings and scuffs, sheath fair.
