Introduced in 2006, this is an excellent example of the semi-automatic 5.56mm rifle that was originally developed by the SIG company for the Swiss Army. These rifles feature a full length gas piston operating system with a 2-position gas valve that keeps the inside of the receiver free from dirt and carbon build up. It is fitted with a 16 inch barrel with a 1-7 inch twist, chambered in 5.56 NATO. This model has the three position telescoping plastic stock with the ergonomic polymer forend. It uses a lightweight alloy trigger housing, with ambidextrous safety levers and uses an AR style magazine and flash suppressor. It has a quad Picatinny rail for mounting optics, and accessories with an Eotech magnifier in place on the upper receiver with an Eotech Quick flip base.
