This revolver is a single action, break open revolver with standard markings with a 9 shot cylinder, teardrop-shaped barrel, serrated trigger, checkered hammer spur and adjustable rear target sights. Barrel is marked "H.&R. "SPORTSMAN"/SINGLE ACTION" on the left side and the caliber on the right. Grips are checkered walnut. In blue hinged factory box numbered to gun.

Very good, with minor spotting and pitting concentrated primarily along the length of the barrel. Some spotting present of polished sides of hammer, and trigger guard. Grips are excellent, with crisp, well defined checkering. Box is good, with corner wear, and some wear at the hinge. Mechanically excellent.

Made between 1977 and 1982. Adjustable rear sight, casehardened hammer and trigger, standard markings and checkered grips. In original box numbered to gun with papers.

Very good, with minor loss of finish at the muzzle, with minimal spotting on extractor rod and barrel rib. Grips are very good, with some verdigris present on S&W medallions, checkering is crisp and well defined. Mechanically excellent.
