Description:

Manufactured for less than two years, this particular Fiala 1920 Target passed through the Birmingham Proof House and was then sold via A.G. Parker (also known as Parker-Hale), which is best known for small bore firearms and training implements. Both barrels (20 inch and 7 1/2 inch) are fitted with blade sights, with the breech numbered to match the frame and the top stamped with a set of Birmingham proofs and "NOT ENGLISH MAKE" in addition to the standard caliber markings. The Birmingham stamps are repeated on the frame and slide, the former also marked "A.G.PARKER/BIRMINGHAM" along with the standard markings. Fitted with a smooth forearm, smooth pistol grips, and an unmarked detachable buttstock with blued steel furniture. With a canvas covered buckling takedown case, bearing the A.G. Parker label on the inside of the lid.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed brown patina on the slide and in scattered patches, mild handling marks and spotting, slightly heavier on the 7 1/2 inch barrel. The wood is very good, with some varnish loss and dings. The case is fair, with minor material loss, wear concentrated on the edges and staining. Mechanically very good.
