Manufactured in 1908. The top barrel flat is stamped "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED OCTOBER 14. 1884", "25-20 W.C.F." is marked on the upper left barrel flat at the breech and the Winchester oval proof is marked on the top barrel flat and top of the receiver at the breech. The serial number is stamped on the bottom of the receiver. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1892/--WINCHESTER--/TRADE MARK" Dovetailed blade front and adjustable buckhorn rear sights, blue finish with casehardened hammer and lever, and mounted on a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a steel crescent buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 80% of the original finish with some minor marks and oxidation particularly on the lower frame and the forearm cap. The lever has an aged gray/brown patina and the buttplate has general oxidation. The forearm and stock are very fine with only minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
