Manufactured in 1904. The extra length 28 inch round barrel is marked with the two line nickel steel, smokeless powder marking on the left with "30 U.S." on top at the breech and the two line address/patent dates are marked on the upper left side of the receiver behind the arm of the rear sight. It is marked "-WINCHESTER-/MODEL 1895" on the upper tang with the serial number on the lower tang. It is fitted with a ramped blade front with bead sight and adjustable Lyman's frame and receiver mounted peep sight and has a blue finish with casehardened hammer. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with ebony forend insert and straight grip stock with a smooth steel buttplate.

Near fine. The rifle retains 60% of the original finish with some finish wear on the frame (touched up with cold blue right upper side), magazine, and lever and some minor dings and scratches throughout. The buttplate has an aged gray patina with light scratches.The stock and forearm are very fine with some minor dings, scratches, and marks. Mechanically excellent.
