Description:

Polished bead front and folding leaf rear sights, with the type of steel markings partially covered by the rifle barrel ribs, German proofs made in Feb 1926, light breech engraving and 2 9/16 inch chambers. Engraved and casehardened receiver, with a red stag in a mountain scene on the left side, a boar amid undergrowth on the right, floral designs on the barrel hinge and on the underside between the barrel lugs and scrollwork on the sides, top and bottom. Checkered pistol grip stock, with a horn grip cap, sling swivels, a cartridge compartment with spring loaded door, raised shadow-line cheekpiece, and a serrated horn butt plate. Length of pull is 13 1/2 inches.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with 90% of the refinished blue on the barrels, showing a few small patches of light gray on the muzzle and on the upper side of the left barrel. Small areas of brown, and scattered light handling marks. A smooth gray patina is forming on the frame, with 30% of the original bright case colors, strongest on the top strap and around the trigger guard. Stock is very good, with some light chipping and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
