Manufactured circa 1920. The left side of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1879 patent date behind the barrel band and "22 LONG R." at the breech. The Winchester oval proof is marked on top of the barrel ahead of the rear mounts and the top of the receiver at the breech. The upper tang is obscured by the modern tang mounted adjustable Sharp's Arms Co. marked tang sight and the serial number is marked on the lower tang. It has a globe front sight, single barrel band with sling swivel, forend cap, and is mounted with a smooth full length walnut forearm with grasping grooves and straight grip stock with sling swivel and steel carbine buttplate. Includes Boyt leather sling.

Very good. The musket retains 60% of the original finish with a golden brown patina on most of the frame, some wear on the buttplate, and minor scratches and marks throughout. The wood is very fine with some minor scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
