This is an example of a pre-war commercial Colt Government Model semi-automatic pistol that was manufactured in 1920. The pistol has the Colt high polish commercial blue finish with checkered walnut grips. It is fitted with an unmarked Colt barrel with the blued finish with the bright polish chamber. The left slide of the slide has the Colt two-line, factory address and patent dates with the Colt Rampant Horse in between the markings. The right side has the two-line Colt markings of "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45". The left side of the trigger guard has the letter "w" over the Colt "VP/Triangle" proof and the right side of the trigger guard is marked with the number "92". The pistol has an all blue magazine marked "COLT/45 AUTO M" on the bottom.

Very fine with 80% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with gray/brown patina on the front and rear grip straps. The grips are in fine condition with nice checkering on both sides showing wear across the tops of the checkering mixed with light handling marks and pressure dent on both sides. A fine condition early Production Colt Government model. Mechanically excellent.
