Made in 1956 this pistol has a very futuristic, space age design that utilized a cast aluminum frame in-lieu of the standard steel frames of the day. It was a straight blow-back design, that used a round bolt inside the upper part of the frame, with exposed cocking knobs on the rear of the frame with an exposed hammer. Features fixed front and rear sights with white plastic grips. The left side of the frame is marked "WHITNEY" and the right side is marked with the address markings. Includes factory box, original set of dark brown grips, and papers.

Excellent. The pistol has some light cycling marks and overall some minor marks from handling and storage. The white grips are in excellent condition and the original brown grips are in very good condition with a long vertical scratch on the right side.
