This is an excellent Armalite AR10-T target rifle, termed the Super SASS, (Semi Automatic Sniper System). This was the Armalite Company, candidate rifle submission in the U.S. Army's selection for a new sniper rifle in the late 1990s or early 2000. It features a close tolerance, hand fitted upper and lower receiver with a heavy, free floating stainless steel target weight bull barrel, chambered in the 7.62 NATO. Flat top upper receiver, with Picatinny rail, fitted with the one-piece aluminum handguard, with Picatinny rail on all four sides. It has a two-position, adjustable gas system with a bird cage flash hider on the end of the barrel. It has an adjustable magpul buttstock, that adjusts for cheekpiece height and buttstock length. The left side of the receiver has the standard Armalite markings. It is complete with a buttstock cleaning kit and one ten round magazine. It does not include any iron sights or carrying handle.
