Features a heavy duty machined upper and lower receiver group, that is married up at the beginning of the rifle assembly, which is fitted with a short, fluted stainless steel barrel with the direct gas impingement system. The barrel/upper receiver is fitted with a one-piece, free-floating, perforated handguard that is rigidly attached (by eight screws, four each side) to the barrel nut. The handguard features Picatinny rails on all four sides, with the upper receiver also has the standard Picatinny style rails on top. The left side of the receiver has the "Black Rain Ordnance" markings along with company address. The dust cover is marked "LET IT RAIN" and it is fitted with a tactical latch, charging handle, MAGPUL/MOE sliding buttstock, and pistol grip with storage compartment. It is complete with a chamber flag. It has the black anodized handguard, and black plastic components with a silver anodized upper and lower receiver with a stainless steel type barrel.
