This is an example of an all original, pre-war Walther Mod. PPK Party Leader pistol with the rare Political Leader grips. These PPKs were officially known as the "Honor Weapon of the Political Leaders", as these PPK pistols were presented, by the Fuhrer, to high ranking Nazi officers of the NSDAP for meritorious service to the Nazi Party. The grips themselves are a one-piece wrap around grip made from a mottled-brown plastic material, that has the distinctive large Nazi Eagle clutching a Swastika encircled by a wreath at the top on both sides. Party Leader grips will generally be found on Walther PPKs starting in the 800,000 to 935,000 range and again in the 174,000K to 234,965K serial number range, indicating that this example is an early production pistol. This fabulous pistol is also accompanied by an equally rare original "Party Leader" presentation leather holster made expressly for the Walther PPK pistol. This holster was always issued and worn with these pistols as it immediately signified to everyone that the wearer of this holster was awarded the Honor Weapon PPK. The front flap, is clearly impressed with the large Nazi Eagle clutching a Swastika, encircled by a wreath, same as the pistol grips are. The inside of the holster is ink stamped; "Walther PPK" with the lower front flap, embossed with the commercial mark of "D.R.G.M./Crossed Rifles/Akah" for Albrecht Kind, a noted holster maker throughout the war. The left side of the slide is marked with the standard Walther Banner followed by the two-line, factory legend and caliber and "Mod. PPK.". The pistol has the correct with the "Crown/N" proof marks, stamped on the right side of the slide below the ejection port, the right side of the frame/chamber area and the front of the barrel. The pistol has a 60 degree safety lever, cartridge indicator pin, and lanyard loop on the bottom of the frame. The serial number is marked vertically on the right side of the frame behind the trigger. It is complete with two blued magazines, one with a brown plastic finger extension and the other one with the blued flat base, both are marked with the Walther banner on the lower left side.

Very fine with 97% plus of the original blued finish overall with edge and high spot wear only. The grip is in very fine condition with nice sharp distinct markings and checkering on both sides, with an old professional repair to the rear portion of the right side. The holster is in fine condition with a beautiful light saddle brown color overall with a clear imprint of the Party leader Eagle on the front flap and a partially clear makers mark under the lower tab, slightly obscured due to the closure stud pressing on the leather. A desirable NSDAP Party Leader Walther PPK pistol!
