Description:

This is a fine example of a DWM Model 1908 Commercial Luger pistol in 9mm caliber. These have the blank chamber with the DWM monogram on the toggle link and no stock lug on the frame. The left side of the barrel extension, breechblock, toggle and underside of the barrel are marked with a single "Crown/N" Commercial proof. Numbered in the commercial manner with the full serial number on the frame and underside of the barrel with the last two digits "82" on some of the various smaller parts. Standard German safety and extractor markings, straw colored small parts, with checkered walnut grips. It is complete with an original nickel plate magazine with a wooden base that is marked "9719/c/+/Crown" along with a partial brown commercial leather holster.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 80% of the faded original blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with thinning and browning on the grip straps. There is some illegible electropencil writing present on the upper half of the front grip straps. The grips are also in fine condition with nice visible checkering on both sides, showing wear across the tops of the checkering with a few minor handling marks. The various small parts retain 25% of their straw colors overall. The Luger has matching numbers on the various parts except the magazine as noted. The holster is in poor, incomplete condition showing age cracking down the front of the holster with the complete flap/cover of the holster missing.
