The Reichs Zeugmeisterei (RZM) served as the quartermasters office of the National Socialists, and later became the chief authority on textiles in the Third Reich. Fixed sights and standard markings, with "crown/N" proofs on the barrel, chamber hood and slide, and the addition of the etched circular "RZM" logo on the left side of the slide between the model marking and the serrations. The interior of the slide is numbered to match the frame. Serrated ring hammer, 90 degree safety and checkered streaked brown plastic "WALTHER" banner grips. With a brown leather Albrecht Kind flap holster. Notes from the consignor state that the holster was brought back to the States by an Army nurse, who procured it while stationed in Italy.

Very fine, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing a bright gray patina on the high edges, particularly around the front of the slide, along with some minor handling marks. Strong niter blue is present on the safety switch. Grips are very good as repaired, with some dents and mended cracks on the right side. Holster is good, with mild cracks and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
