Manufactured by Fabrique Nationale in Herstal, Belgium. According to the serial number this pistol was manufactured prior to the occupation of Nazi Germany in Belgium. The pistol is fitted with a fixed front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 500 meters and the back strap is cut for a shoulder stock. The left side of the slide and frame, and barrel chamber are marked with various Belgium proof marks, as well as a boxed "C" on the aforementioned locations and left side of the trigger, a "crown/GC" in two ovals on the left side of the frame above the trigger and an added Nazi proof and "crown/AC" in two ovals on the upper left front of the trigger guard, and small "11" in a triangle over "P9" on the opposite side. The left side of the hammer is marked with a boxed "A" and "C". The left side of the slide is marked with the two line address and "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". Matching serial number on the right side of the frame and slide, and on the right side of the frame heel under the grip. Blue finish, blue double stack magazine with boxed "C" and "A" markings and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Very fine as refinished. The pistol retains 98% blue finish with wear limited to the muzzle end of the slide and some minor high edge wear. The later production replacement grips are also very fine with a couple of minor dents and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically fine.
