Nazi era Walther Model PP semi-automatic pistol with blue leatherette fitted case lined with crimson silk and velvet. The pistol has a blue finish and is decorated with the possibly period custom scroll engraving. The safety lever, trigger, grip screws and chamber are all engraved. The pistol has a 60 degree safety lever, push button magazine release and black, checkered plastic grips with the Walther banner in relief. The slide does not have a cartridge indicator pin. The Nazi era "Eagle/N" proof mark is stamped on the side of the chamber, right side of the slide below the ejection port and on the right side of the barrel at the muzzle. The left side of the slide is roll-stamped with the Walther banner followed by: "Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thur)/Walther's Patent Cal. 7.65 m/m" in two lines and "Mod. PP" on relief carved panels. The serial number: "209041P" is pantagraphed vertically on the right side of the frame behind the trigger in an oval panel surrounded by scrollwork. The pistol is complete with one magazine with black plastic finger extension. The later production replacement magazine has a phosphate finish and is stamped with the Walther banner on the left side near the base. The crimson silk lining on the case lid has a silver Walther banner.

Fine as refinished and faint traces of pitting are visible with close inspection on the panel that contains the Walther legend. The engraving is sharp and deep and the blue finish is a nearly perfect match for Walther factory blue. The serial number and proof marks are sharp. The grips are in excellent condition and show minimal wear. Mechanically excellent. The post-war case remains in excellent condition with almost no exterior or interior wear.
