It has a hammer side and lockplate that is script marked "a Leoben" with a rope-like engraved border. There is a hole on top of the wrist, presumably from a now missing sight. Straight grip stock with grasping grooved forearm, checkered wrist, checkered wooden patchbox, horn forearm tip, double set triggers and wooden ramrod with bone tip. The trigger guard is wood with an iron reinforcing strip. The stock is without provisions for a buttplate but has a floral engraved metal upper tang. There is hardware for a sling.

Rating Definition:

Good. The metal surfaces have been cleaned bright at one time and are now beginning to age again, with some light surface rust. The revarnished stock is good with some minor to moderate dings, dents, nicks and scratches. There is a large gash on the right side of the buttstock. There are some light nicks and a moderate gash in the overall sharp checkering. The patchbox is ill-fitting. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically fine.
