Description:

This Winchester Model 1866 SRC was manufactured in 1876 and has a blade front sight integral to the magazine retaining band and a folding ladder rear sight. The saddle ring and stud are on the left side of the receiver. It is marked with the two line address and King's improvement marking on the top of the barrel and the serial number in block letters just behind the trigger. It has a smooth forearm and straight wrist stock with brass buttplate with and empty trapdoor compartment.

Rating Definition:

Fair as refinished. 75% of the gunsmith applied blue finish remains. The markings are faint but legible. There is a small dent on the right side of the cleaned action. The wood is also fair with minor scratches and dents and gaps around the upper tang. Mechanically functions fine.
