Description:

The Model 1873 was the first repeating rifle manufactured in the U.S. for .22 rimfire ammunition. Approximately 19,552 were produced for .22 short or .22 long, between 1884 and 1904. This example has the standard Winchester markings, a German silver blade front sight and adjustable sporting rear sight, a short range Vernier peep sight and a smooth walnut stock and forearm.

Rating Definition:

Very good as partially refinished (wood). There are strong traces of the original blue finish in the protected areas and otherwise gray and brown patina along with some oxidation and pitting. The sanded and revarnished wood is also good with a few minor scratches. The action functions fine and the markings are clear.
