This Winchester Model 1873 was manufactured in 1891 and features a special order part octagon barrel and short "button" magazine. It is equipped with a German silver blade front sight and an adjustable sporting rear sight and is fitted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock. The compartment in the butt is empty. It has the standard markings.

Fair. The barrel and frame have is mostly a dark brown patina with some patches of oxidation and pitting. The wood is sanded and refinished with some minor marks and chips along the edges of the forend. The action is fine, and the markings are legible.
