Manufactured late in production, this carbine has a pinned "94-C" front sight just behind the magazine retaining band, a combination notch and folding ladder rear sight graduated to 900 yards, taps for a receiver mounted peep sight on the top of the receiver, and a tang mounted, adjustable Marble's peep sight. The forearm and stock are smooth walnut. A staple mounted saddle ring is on the left side of the receiver and has a tied tassel. It is marked with the standard Marlin markings. Like the Winchester rifle and carbine, Marlin's Model 1893 remains one of the most popular lever actions ever made.

Very fine as partially refinished (wood). 85% plus of the original blue finish remains and 75% plus of the original case colors remain with the bottom forward portion of the receiver having been polished bright. There are a few spots of gray patina where the blue has faded such as the barrel band and muzzle and some light spotting. The revarnished wood is very good with numerous small dings and light scratches. The action functions excellently, and the markings are crisp.
