Description:

This 44 1/2 action rifle was manufactured circa 1896-1916 and is equipped with a globe front sight, scope mounting blocks, Vernier peep sight, smooth Schnabel forearm and pistol grip stock with high comb and Swiss buttplate. The serial numbers on the forearm, barrel, lower tang, and buttplate match. The butt has a series of holes likely in an effort to reduce weight. It also has a full loop lever, double set triggers, and the standard barrel markings.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with non-factory scope blocks. 95% of the original blue finish and rich case colors remain. There is some light edge wear and fading at the muzzle. The wood is very good with some dings and light scratches. The action functions excellently, and the markings are crisp.
