Manufactured from 1870 to 1890. The top of the barrel has the standard two-line Hartford address followed by "No.1" in between a pair of Maltese crosses. The frame has the standard engraving and checkered panels on the grip area. The letter "C" is stamped ahead of the trigger, and the barrel and grip have the serial number on the bottom. Two English proofs are marked on the bottom of the barrel.

Good. The pistol has a crisp mottled gray patina overall with some spotting and patches of pitting. It mechanically needs some minor work; the hammer does not stay cocked unless the trigger is manually pushed forward.
