This pistol has a Russian style miquelet lock and the stock style, ornamentation, and traditional trigger and trigger guard of the style seen on pistols from the Balkan region of the Ottoman Empire in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Very similar pistols have been identified as having originated in Albania. It has some faint engraving on the lock. The silver barrel band and stock have extensive repoussé designs. The whole stock is covered in the silver metalwork. The top of the barrel has some light relief designs.

Very good. The lock and barrel have a mottled gray patina with some pitting and oxidation. The silver stock has some cream colored fill in places and primarily an attractive aged patina. It mechanically needs work as the hammer stays at full cock with some absent parts.
