This is a very nice example of a custom sporting rifle built on a DWM Argentine contract Model 1909 action. With ramped, hooded bead on blade front and fixed rear express sights. The consignor states the custom quarter rib as being the work of Kip Wood of Central Michigan Gunsmithing. The receiver has been grooved for scope mounting. Mounted on a highly figured, multi-point checkered English walnut pistol grip stock with sling swivel studs, engraved blue steel grip cap and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. The receiver, quarter rib, bolt handle, trigger guard and floor plate have all been engraved with flourishes of tight American style scroll by Master Engraver Rex Pedersen. His signature "REX" can be found on the right side of the trigger guard near the floorplate. The consignor goes on to note that the stock and final finishing work was provided by Dennis Barret of Traverse City, Michigan. Fitted with a Timney trigger and Kimber QD scope rings and a Leupold VARI-X III 1.5x5 scope.

Very fine as professionally built, master engraved and stocked with 99% of the blue showing some light handling marks. The wood is very fine with intense figuring, sharp checkering, small handling marks and deep brown tone. The magazine spring and follower are absent. The optics are very clear.
