This model 12 features dual white bead sights on the matte vent rib, a 2 3/4 inch chamber and a full choke. Featuring extensive scroll engraving on the barrel, frame and trigger guard. The right and left sides of the frame feature gold inlaid hunting dogs in a circular bordered field scenes with the engravers signature "N. Hartliep" on the left side under the dog. The trigger guard features a gold inlaid grouse in flight. The magazine collar features a gold inlaid flying grouse as well. The bottom of the magazine tube is engraved with a standing pigeon similar to the type used on Winchester factory pigeon grade guns. Hartliep was a master engraver, author and Iowa native. Mounted on a custom (Antone) nicely figured fancy checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with alternating contrasting woods at the grip, adjustable comb, inset gold crown medallion on the grip end and a solid Decelerator recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 7/8 inches.

Very fine as master engraved, gold inlaid and stocked with 99% of the blue finish and only light handling marks. The wood is very good with intense figuring, rich color, a few very minor dings and good contrast between the alternating wood types. Mechanically excellent.
