Description:

Manufactured in 1918, this pistol is fitted with a set of smooth walnut grip panels. Though wood was a very typical Colt grip material, it was used in limited quantities on the pocket pistols, with the smooth panels being factory-original on only about 90 Model 1903's. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent dates on the left side ahead of the Rampant Colt, caliber markings on the right, and "R" and "VP" on the trigger guard. The grips are smooth, with a gentle ergonomic tapering at the tops and bottoms, which prevented the installation of Colt medallions on these early model grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish showing a smooth gray patina on the edges and grip straps, mild spotting and scattered handling marks. The re-oiled grips are very good with a few light dings. Mechanically excellent.
