This is an excellent early manufacture pre-ban Springfield Armory M1A "fully-automatic" NFA rifle. Based on the serial number of this rifle it was originally manufactured circa 1978-81 and was then converted into a fully automatic M14 type rifle by the CKA Company of Cynthinia KY and is so stamped on the upper rear flat of the receiver below the rear sight. As we all know there are very few actual, real M14 rifles for sale in the civilian market as the US Government has never released them for sale due to their MG designation status. So the next best thing was to convert some. The M1A rifle is a direct copy of the US M14 rifle, which used an investment cast receiver in which the small selector switch leg has been welded to the right rear side of the receiver. This rifle utilized mostly Springfield Armory Inc. parts such as the barrel, bolt, operating rod and trigger group. It is fitted with a GI type hardwood stock with the reinforcing stock line rand hinged buttplate. The rear of the receiver is marked "U.S. RIFLE /M1A/SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY circled T" over serial number "013329". It is fitted with the correct style slotted GI type flash hider with the bayonet lug and a M14E2 type muzzle break. This rifle does not have a magazine, however they are very easy to acquire on the secondary market, and it does include a complete M14 Modular Chassis System as manufactured by the TROY company and a Harris bipod.

Excellent with 98% of the original parkerized finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear overall, with some very minor finish loss on the tops of the bolt lugs and right side receiver rail from cycling the action and or very limited firing. The stock and handguard are both in excellent condition with only very minor handling marks on the underside of the stock from a rifle rack. The TROY stock system is also in like new condition, probably having been installed and used a couple times. A scarce desirable fully automatic M1A rifle. Note: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATF) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
