Description:

This is an excellent example of a like new, fully automatic Class 3, M37 medium machine gun. This beautiful machine gun was assembled/manufactured by using a side plate manufactured by the RAMO Company in Nashville, TN. This example is a copy of the original M1919 belt fed machine gun that was developed/produced after WWI by John Browning, and was basically an air cooled version of the M1917 BMG. This weapon design proved extremely successful and was used during WWII, Korea, and even into Vietnam as a secondary medium machine gun. The side plate is marked: "MACHINE GUN CAL .30 M37/MANUFACTURED BY/ RAMO NASHIVILLE TN./ U.S.A." Some of the various parts/assemblies have GI type parts numbers on them. It is fitted with the original style flip up front sight mounted on the front end of the receiver with the fully adjustable ladder style rear sight mounted on the rear of the receiver that is graduated from 100-2400 meters. This machine gun is complete with a wooden storage/shipping crate, new original GI barrel still in the grease wrapper, a spare barrel shroud, a short barrel shroud with carrying handle and flash hider, pintle and metal shoulder stack. As noted this is fully functional, full automatic, Class 3 medium machine gun that is fully transferable.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% of the parkerized finish overall showing light test firing only. The crate and accessories are all in excellent condition. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
