Description:

Manufactured by the firm of V. Charles Schilling of Suhl, the Bergmann was developed in the 1890s and 1900s, and produced in limited numbers. Blade front and notch rear sights, with German "crown/crown/U" proofs, the Schilling "mountain man" logo on the right side of the frame, and "PATENT/BREVETE/S.G.D.G." on the left side of the frame ahead of the magazine well. A fiery nitre blue is present on the safety, with bright straw colors on the other small parts. Fitted with a pair of checkered grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing some light spotting and handling marks overall, along with some patches of brown and gray patina. 70% of the original straw and nitre blue is present on the small parts, with a mixed gray patina and light spotting on the remainder. The grips are very fine, with some light dings and small patches of verdigris. Mechanically very good.
