Description:

This is a very unique large frame, striker fired, prototype/test model handgun chambered in 32 ACP. This specific pistol has no maker's marks, proofs or serial numbers, and it actually has attributes from several different companies: Grant-Hammond, White-Merrill and/or Phillips. It has a large, very flat/squarely machined frame. The barrel is screwed into the frame with the sides and top portion of the pistol actually being square, covers that fit over the bolt and internal mechanism that are held on to the frame with 4 screws on each side. It is fitted with a heavy square bolt with small cocking grips located on each side. The striker/firing pin mechanism protrudes from the rear of the frame. It is fitted with a set of smooth walnut grip panels, and currently is fitted with a Colt Model 1903 magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with all the metal surfaces being in the white having never been blued or factory finished. The pistol is an extremely well made prototype pistol that hand cycles and dry fires correctly. It is certainly a very unique and maybe one-of-a-kind American prototype/test pistol from the early 20th century.
