Description:

This is a very unusual Swiss Model 1906 Luger that has unusual "E" prefix serial number. This Luger in all appearances is a typical 1906 model that is marked with the Swiss Cross in a Shield on top of the chamber area with "DWM" marked on the front toggle and has a shoulder stock attachment lug on the rear grip strap. The right side of the barrel and barrel extension have the small Swiss Cross inspectors mark and the under side of the barrel and front of the receiver are marked with the "773" serial number with the "E" letter prefix added to the serial numbers. The various other parts such as the trigger, breech bolt, toggle assembly, and side plate have the standard serial number of "73", with the recoil lug and back side of each grip hand stamped with numbered, "773", with a "P53" (release date of 1953) on the rear of the frame. It is complete with one original unnumbered Swiss wood based magazine with the small nickel discs on the sides of the base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished/professionally restored with 98% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The smaller parts retain 95% of their restrawed colors overall, thinning/fading on the edges. The walnut grips are in very fine condition with nice distinct checkering with some light wear across the tops of the checking mixed with a couple minor nicks. Mechanically excellent.
