1) Gunto pattern Japanese sword, 37 inches overall with a 26 3/4 inch blade showing a near perfectly straight hamon, installed in a gold-washed copper habaki. The hilt fittings are of a military pattern, with brass and silver washed seppa, brown cord wrapping, and cherry blossom themed decoration. With an unmarked nickel finished sheath, fitted with a single hanging ring. 2) Pair of officers shoulder boards, woven gold cord with gilt faux-buttons, 2 silver stars and nickel finished mounting hardware. No makers marks present. 3) Officers belt sash, 2 1/8 inches wide with alternating red and white stripes, with a pair of floral pattern clasps and heavy bullion tassels.

1) Fine with some light spotting present on the very fine blade, along with some sharpening marks and a few minor chips along the edges. Mild stains are present on the wrap with some light handling marks on the fittings. The scabbard shows over 90% of the nickel, with some wear and spotting. The mekugi-ana is broken, and the pieces are preventing dismounting of the hilt for inspection. 2) Very good with light wear. 3) Fine with a few minor stains and areas of wear.
