Manufactured as part of the final Navy production block of 1913, this Model 1911 pistol bears the scarce "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. NAVY" (serrifed) marking on the right side of the slide; originally earmarked to receive pistols marked specifically for them, the Navy and the Marine Corps were stuck with "ARMY"-marked 1911s and 1911A1s for most of the service life of the pistol. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block Colt patents and address on the left side of the slide ahead of the Rampant Colt, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "WGP" (Penfield) on the left side of the frame. Fitted with a round-top rear sight, long smooth trigger, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, checkered slide stop and thumb safety, and flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple. Checkered hardwood grips with diamond patterns around the screws, two tone pinned base magazine, and a full blue barrel marked "P H" in-line with the bore.

Fine as restored with most of the blue finish showing a tiny amount of handling marks and edge wear, some of which is visible but covered by the finish. Grips are very fine with some light dings and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
