Manufactured by the Axtell Rifle Company (Riflesmith Inc.) of Sheridan, Montana, this reproduction of the Sharps 1877 long range No. 2 Creedmore rifle features a globe front sight, no rear barrel sight and a long range peep sight mounted on the upper tang. The left side of the barrel is marked "--MODEL 1877-- AXTELL RIFLE CO. SHERIDAN MONT.", and "CALIBER 45 2 1/10" is on the left side just forward of the breech. The barrel is blue, and the action, lever and hammer are casehardened. Checkered hammer and trigger and fitted with a walnut checkered Schnabel tip forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered Axtel Rifle Co monogrammed plastic buttplate. Includes papers.
