This Thunderer was manufactured in 1890 and is marked with the two-line address on the top of the barrel, "COLT. D.A. 41" on the left side in a banner, the three-line patent information on the left side of the frame, the assembly number "312" on the loading gate, and matching serial numbers. It has the round blade front sight, frame groove rear sight, and smooth one-piece grips. 75% of the surfaces display scrollwork, geometric, and punch dot engraving patterns.

Fair as period re-plated. Most of the silver remains with some minor marks and slight aging. There is some mild pitting visible under the plating and a dark patina on the hammer and trigger. The grip frame has some repairs. The grips are very good with some slight age cracks and minor handling wear. The action needs some work as the hammer is not always cocked upon pulling the trigger. The markings and engraving are mostly clear but some are faint.
