This revolver was produced circa 1861 with the low three digit serial number "699" on the bottom of the butt. "A9" is on the back of the barrel lug, front of the cylinder, and left side of the grip frame. "AW" is hand carved on the underside of each rosewood grip panel. The right panel is numbered to the gun. The rib has the one-line address. It has a German silver blade front sight and the proper two pin top strap.

Good as period refinished. There is royal blue finish in the protected areas and otherwise gray and brown patina with some slight pitting. The side plate was cleaned in the past and has a lighter patina. The interior has strong royal blue finish. The hammer has strong case colors in the protected areas and a broken off hammer spur. There is some uneven colors under the grips. The grips are good with some chips at the toe and heel. The action is fine.
