Description:

Smith & Wesson manufactured approximately 100,700 of these revolvers from 1868 to 1875. This example has the one-line address and patent marking on the top of the rib, standard round blade and notch sights, and is fitted with a pair of varnished rosewood grips. It comes in a fitted hardwood case with a cartridge block currently holding five rounds of vintage .32 rimfire ammunition.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The blue finish on the barrel and cylinder has faded to a dark gray patina. The frame retains 80% of the original bright blue finish. There are some limited spots of light pitting and spotting. The rosewood grips are fine with flaking varnish and minor handling wear. The action is excellent. The case is very good as repaired and relined with overall minor storage wear and a chip on the right front corner.
